Merlot is the child of Cabernet Franc and the rare, Magdeleine Noire des Charentes which makes Merlot a sibling of Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Merlot has 5% Cabernet Franc blended in which adds a slight perfumed fragrance and a little tobacco leaf on the palate.

Ruby in color with aromas of black cherry, floral, chocolate, and vanilla notes on the nose. Medium bodied with crisp acidity and flavors of black cherry, plum, blue fruits, chocolate, tobacco-leaf, and vanilla. Finishing with lingering soft grain tannins.
