Tasting notes
Cabernet Franc sets the trend as the cool parent of the Cabernet family, ripening earlier than Cabernet Sauvignon. Hand-picked and lightly crushed, this wine was fermented for 18 days with daily "punch downs." Aged for 23 months in a combination of new and neutral French oak, this estate cabernet franc has some extra swagger thanks to its 20% Merlot blend. On the palate, it's a party of ripe raspberry, blackberry, cocoa, a note of limestone, and a touch of vanilla for extra fun. Best enjoyed with great company and flavorful dishes like roasted duck, roasted pork, or creamy polenta with sautéed wild mushrooms.
