Tasting notes
Depth and darkness are first impressions of this wine. Notes of highly concentrated dark fruits and vanilla mingles with some smoke, meat and complex perfumy undertones. Extremely rich, layered and almost chewy the palate gives away brighter hints of cherries while some chocolate blends in for a long lasting expansive finish. A powerful balanced Syrah for lovers of just that. Look no further. BLV is here!!

Saignee and gently crushing combined with extended maceration both pre and post were carried out to concentrate mid palate and lengthen the finish. Temperature controlled fermentation never allowing to much heat makes sure that varietal expression and the sense of terroir remains intact. As always very tight grained hand selected barrels were used for the aging process for slow release of tannin and very fine integration of the oak components. I always strive to showcase the true potential of Washington Syrah and then take it to another level. This wine is a perfect example of just that….
