2013 She-Devil Syrah
The She-Devil Syrah is a remarkable wine for the price point. Only free-run juice– never pressed wine -goes into each bottle. Try a bottle and discover one of our best kept secrets.
Deep Purple (the color, not the band) fills the glass. Aromas of vio- let fruit and a hint of scorched earth fill the room. Silky dark fruit with layers of savory earth, dark fruit and smoke create a woven and plush feel to the flavors. Get a good long book to enjoy with the finish of berries cocoa and tobac- co. Wow.
Whole Berry Fermentation at cooler temperatures creates deep, dark fruit flavors, while a touch of co-fermented Viognier brightens the nose and darkens the color. The addition of Stone Tree Malbec and new oak adds supple spice, while the neutral barrels add weight and substance. 700 cases made
Our favorite foods with this wine are: Grilled lamb with grilled veggies w/ lemon and rosemary. Any creamy and strong cheese with baquette or crackers.

Double Gold, San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
The 2013 growing started slowly, with an extended bloom period due to cool- er than average temperatures. After bloom we couldn’t have programmed bet- ter growing conditions. Very warm days and cool clear nights were the norm. A few scattered thunderstorms hit sections of the growing area but there was no significant rainfall after early June, allowing for precise canopy management. Through July and August we had warmer than normal temperatures and no rainfall. Harvest ended up starting about a week early from the warm sites, but as things cooled off we were able slow down thing in the Walla Walla valley and allow the fruit to get fully mature for perfect flavors. Over all the 2013 vin- tage will prove to be an excellent vintage.
