Walla Walla
This Syrah is as unique as the terroir from where the fruit was grown. We only make 6 barrels of the Princess Syrah utilizing the best fruit from the beautiful Francisca's Vineyard.

Tasting notes
If we could bottle this as air freshener we would! The color is lush & inky. Pull the cork and the aromatics transports
you to the vineyard- then takes you back to that warm cozy feeling from your childhood, when you got off the bus, walked in the door and your mom was baking homemade blueberry pie! The palate is velvety with dark ripe fruits, earth, spice box, anise, ripe firm tannins and minerality. The finish is long and full of sweet dark fruits, spice box and a touch of vanilla.
Production notes
As always at Francisca’s Vineyard the ability to hang the fruit until the end of the season makes for highly concentrated flavors and ripe tannins! The grapes are gently popped open for extraction purposes, cold soaked and fermented at lower temperatures to retain the essence of the vineyard. The wine is post-macerated on the skins until the extraction is complete and then gently bled off to barrels for malolactic fermentation.
100% free-run juice; unfined and unfiltered.

92—Wine Advocate / June 2013
Inky purple in color and gorgeous on the nose, with notions of black fruits, crushed flowers, charred meats, chocolate and vanilla, the 2010 Syrah Princess is full-bodied, decadently textured and seriously concentrated, with layers of fruit and polished tannin emerging on the finish. Hedonistically slanted and very well done, it will deliver the goods for upwards of a decade. Drink now-2020
